Spring Snow
Unforced Movement
Moving without trying to improve anything.
Today was the first time I walked
to try and calm down my anxiety.
I don’t know if it was playing the video game too long,
or any other reason,
but the pressure
and anxiety was high.
So I decided to walk.
It was snowing
and cold
and spring time.
It didn’t take long,
and the anxiety did start to fade.
I was pleasantly surprised.
I kept going.
My step started to have
a bit more flexibility.
I heard the music
and felt the cold.
It was like putting an ice pack
on a sprain.
I went further than I planned,
and did not worry about
the slippery conditions
as much.
